Apple Roses

These are super easy, but they are super nice to taste and to look! Why not trying?


Ingredients

  • 2 apples

  • 1 pack of puff pastry

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • knob of butter

  • some water

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 lemon juice


Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ̊C;

  2. Peel and slice the apples. Add the lemon juice and leave it to sock for 10 mins.

  3. In a pan, add the apples, sugar, cinnamon, butter, water and let it cook for 10 mins roughly.

  4. Set aside; let it cool down

  5. Now, take the puff pastry, unroll the pastry sheet.

  6. Cut 6 strips, each about 5cm wide.

  7. Spread the apple mixture along the top edge of the strips, overlapping them and with the curved edges sitting over the top of the pastry.

  8. Fold the bottom 1cm of the pastry up over the filling. Loosely roll up and put in the tin holes / normal baking tray.


  1. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm, with some vanilla custard, if liked.
